An added bonus is that they provide a menu in your preferred language. During this time of COVID, booking in advance is recommended. The quality and price are excellent. You can savor your meal at a leisurely pace without feeling rushed.

The menu offer... read more This restaurant has been a favorite of our whole family, including our beloved Bernese mountain dogs, ever since we discovered it four years ago. The menu offers delicious dishes to suit all tastes, with some of the best shrimp and cheese croquettes you'll find anywhere. The homemade sauce for the fried mussels is outstanding, and the drinks are served refreshingly cold. We have never been disappointed during our numerous visits to Filou. The restaurant is well-designed, with an outdoor terrace providing shade and direct access to children's games in the summer, and a beautiful veranda for enjoying the light in the autumn. The staff is welcoming and proficient in French, which is a rarity on the Belgian coast. I appreciate that the focus is on the customer rather than the language spoken. There is ample space for my large dog to relax, and a water bowl is always provided. Long live Filou!
