The pecan-crusted mahi mahi was delicious and served in a generous portion size! I would order it again in a heartbeat. The WANCHESE FISHERMANS' RISOTTO was a dish that neither my wife nor I cared for. It wasn't very... View all feedback.
What Daryl Runolfsdottir doesn't like about Black Pelican Oceanfront:
The food at this restaurant is below average. I am extremely disappointed. We returned after a 4-year absence and noticed a significant decline in the quality of the food. I'm thankful that our friends... View all feedback.
Great tasting food. Great service. An AC vent was located under the table by my chair...I had to place a menu over it to keep from getting frostbite on my legs.
I was disappointed that you couldn't see the ocean like they had advertised online. All we could see from the porch was the sand dunes. Unfortunately they didn't have any of their grilled food, so the menu was limited. I had their BBQ chicken pizza and the chicken was horrible. It was boiled and had no flavor and had me chewing more than any piece of gum I've ever had in my life. The chicken ruined the pizza because the rest of it was great. The crab legs were overcooked and for $18.99 per half pound, that wasn't what we expected. The dessert however was amazing! Sadly half the dessert menu was out of stock.
Fisherman's Risotto to prime rib and everything between the food is always delicious. A must at least once while you're here. Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp right to the door.
The food and service were excellent. Some of the best prime rib ever, and my husband had the swordfish, which was excellent! I've never had better green beans either!! Not a great place for wheelchairs though. Rough entryway and ramps not at correct angles. Too steep!
Cool place for dinner across from the beach. Very busy for a Wednesday night, however we were seated in 10 minutes. Service was attentive and friendly, knowledgeable about menu and cocktails. Flatbread was strange, basically a cut up warm pita. Cocktails were generous and refreshing. Food was average. Good but nothing spectacular. The coconut cream pie was delicious. The casual, nautical vibe was cool. Would definitely give this place another try.
