This is the best place to get cakes in KW, with all natural ingredients and a European taste. Nobody else can even come close to the Alpine, trust me. Every time we have a birthday in our family we get cakes from here, my favourites are the raspberry cake and fruit cake. I would give 10 stars if I could. View all feedback.

After reading older reviews, I decided to visit this cafe for the first time recently to pick up a cake. It seems like the original owners may no longer be running the establishment. My family has been going to this shop for over 15 yrs... maybe 20. Their cakes are so light and fluffy, the cream is so fresh and the flavor is fantastic! My mom went last month to pick up some cakes for a party and everyone was asking where we got the cakes and commenting on how delicious they are! We got the almond truffle and a raspberry topped cake (family favorites) as well as a mixed fruit topped cake. You can't really go wrong here. I also get a Florentine bar for immediate indulgence every time I go- so sweet, almondy and delicious!
The cakes are melt in your mouth wonderful. Not laden with sugars and artificial colours, but light and fresh. Appealing to the eye and heavenly to the taste buds!
If you need sweets for any special occasion, this is the place to go and get from... professionally trained chefs, European decadent cakes, tortes and more, a little gem of a bakery tucked into a cozy corner of the Krug Street plaza...The Alpine Cafe!
On June 23rd, I was in line behind an older woman at the restaurant. The customer service clerk was kind and respectful to her, but overly friendly with me, asking personal questions and giving unsolicited advice about my work schedule. I found this intrusive and lacking in proper customer service. Despite this, the food was excellent.
Incredibly delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. The most beautifully hearted people will serve you. I will definitely return!?
