Our weekend trip to Münsterland was not torn anyway. Unfortunately, around Idar Oberstein it is becoming more and more difficult to find varied and creative cuisine. From top kitchen we can only dream or just drive. We often visited the restaurants in Kirschweiler. Over the years with changing pitches with many heights and small depths. We were invited to wonderful birthday parties and weddings. For some time, the restaurant has been called “Green” under the new direction. I hit the name of Alen Azar known to me. In the Corona period, he had unfortunately bad luck with a restaurant takeover in Idar Oberstein. I was perfectly cooked by him a ma(h)l. The location of the golf course, on the edge of the Hunsrück Hochwald National Park, is simply wonderful. In the middle of the green, with wide view and on the edge of a large forest area. Absolute rest, golfers don't bother. Free parking is available on site. The best parking spaces are reserved for members of the club. I don't think the world or golf games are so fit. There is also a parking space for wheelchair users. I reserved a phone with Alen Azar. I had looked at the menu before. It looked like a good fresh kitchen. The card was not overloaded, but quite interesting and diverse dishes were offered. In the early evening we arrived, were kindly greeted by Mr. Azar and accompanied to the reserved table. I was surprised. I suspected Mr. Azar in the kitchen, not in service. We took place and were allowed to browse the map. The restaurant was extended years ago by a beautiful cultivation. Nice, but cold. The golfer table in the room was normal and excited. The acoustics are not good. The ambience is appealing and well maintained, the rooms were decorated Christmas. The toilets are flattering and actually wheelchair-friendly. A few years ago I was allowed to accompany my wheelchair-driving father on various men's toilets. The entrance door wide, the passage (without door) between the entrance and toilets so narrow that the wheelchair did not pass through. Very stupid, according to the board, an architect's mistake. I can't say if it's been improved. Little later, Mr. Azar accepted our wishes. We decided to keep the visit close due to the cold. We dispensed with an aperitif and ordered: Grauburgunder € 4,50. The wine ok, the price very covered for 0.1 l. Klug ordered my husband as an appetizer the grounded tomato cream soup with basil and cream € 6.90. Hot served. Tastefully good, the peep was missing. Instead of basil, there were chopped parsley. The cream was possibly included in the soup in a small dose. Tomato cream soup was served the simplest industrial baguette. I decided with for Bruschetta as an appetizer. Sold bread slices with garlic, olive oil, tomatoes and fresh basil € 5,90. Bruschetta Also here was the sad baguette. Hardly roasted, garlic not tasty. Tomatoes were present. Even in winter, when buying consciously, there are quite varieties that taste something like tomato. These tomatoes were tasteless. I love basil. Here too it was missing and was replaced by a nipple crispy parsley. This was of course not a substitute. Overall very sweet and not as announced. We didn't want to spoil the evening, but the expectations and mood dropped. In any case, my brief Bruschetta summary was approved by Mr Azar. The position was canceled by the invoice. I'd rather have eaten and paid GUTE Bruschetta. In the meantime, guests met a Christmas party in the open space. . Unfortunately, the rooms did not warm up by the many people. It only rose the sound level. Our main dishes were served after a suitable waiting period. My choice: Cordon Verde – filled with raw ham, Italian taleggio cheese and sage. Fried in butter. Served with fries and side salad € 17,90. The description lured me and I was not disappointed. Our regular supplement salads were served in advance. I was delighted to have contained spicy rocket and radicchio. A good and suitable balsamicodressing was separated. The filled pork was tender, well fried and the filling was very good. Cordon verde Especially the Nordic soft cheese supplemented with its strong aroma. For my husband roast the pork in butter, delicious cream sauce. Gold-yellow pommes and supplement salad € 14,90. The taste of the optics was in nothing. A beautiful Schnitzel Viennese style with a great easy breakdown. Carving with pommes The pommes also perfectly.
