Busters Diner - Kirkwall
Busters Diner
Description
This American-style diner offers a unique Scottish twist on classic dishes, presenting an intriguing fusion of flavors. While the food consistently garners mixed reviews—from the decent double cheeseburger and flavorful pizza to less favorable breaded scampi—the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff shine through. Highlights include delicious mozzarella sticks with garlic mayo and an indulgent banoffee pie. Though some dining experiences suffered from slow service, overall, patrons found the environment appealing and prices reasonable, making it a charming spot for casual dining. Whether you're in the mood for hearty fare or indulgent desserts, this diner aims to please.

Buster's diner used to be good, but unfortunately it's very different now. When I was a teenager, Busters always made great food, which seemed fresh. Nowadays...
It has the classic American style diner kinda food as you would expect. For burgers you get one free topping then pay extra for more, which is interesting. I think onion shouldn’t be extra, but the burger is a decent price so worth adding it to. The cheese on the burger was grated and minimal, so if you’re a lover of dairy maybe get two toppings of cheese. The essence around the burger is the cheese, onion and tomato for myself so I wouldn’t be ordering that again. The chips were really good.
This diner is not what he used to be; a real fifty-style American diner. It has been tortured quite a bit in recent years, but the menu is still the same....
The food was OK. The breaded shrimps came with a out-of-the-bottle sweet-hot sauce. The double cheese burger with fries and some garnish tasted fine but not exceptional. The biggest problem was the wait. It took 15 minutes to place an order, another 10 to get something to drink and after about an hour I finally got the seven fried shrimps.
