Wooden Nickel was a treat! The staff was awesome! Our server was new but did a great job! He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the stuffed mushroom caps they were delicious! What Kevin K doesn't like about Wooden Nickel:
At first impression I thought dinner would be pretty good. The building is neat and things were fairly clean. The service was ok and mostly friendly however I just didn’t think the food had much flavor. I’m a BBQ guy that has eaten smoked meats all over the country from some of the best smokehouses there are. This smoked meat doesn’t belong in the same category. If you leave here hungry, it’s your own fault. Great food and do t forget the room in the back.
Service was fast and friendly and the highlight of our visit. Food was OK. Appetizers and main dish came so fast that it's really hard to believe they were made fresh. Better than fast food, but not great Italian. Didn't try the steaks, they may be better.
Food was excellent Everything from our waitress, food and atmosphere was top notch!!! Highly recommend checking it out!
Fantastic. Can't say much more. Unique flavors, MoTaters, good beer and choose between nice restaurant or bar atmosphere with the same great food to join the two. Will go back often.
Good tasting food. Nice menu selection and quick service. Unique decorations and atmosphere inside. Staff is helping and friendly.
