We came as a large group on a Friday night. It was fairly busy and the staff were friendly. We were seated and given menus but not asked if we wanted to order a drink. 15 minutes later we had to ask for a drink and the waiter seemed shocked?! View all feedback.
Sammy’s has always been a favourite. However not at all impressed with meal last night. King Prawn Biriyani. 3 prawns were so tough I had to cut them in half with a knife. One tasted dodgy so discarded it. Hoping to goodness my stomach stays healthy!
Service here is always great smiles and happy to do anything to make it a good experience. The food I felt was harshly spiced with no fresh coriander in sight. Not bad food just not stand out. Maybe I had the wrong dishes as the tandoori food looked good. Salad lovely and fresh and poppadoms as always with nice creamy yogurt sauce. Still worth a visit will go back.
Always a lovely welcome from Sammy, we have been visiting here since 1986 and last night was as good as ever. The curry was delicious, the Nan fluffy and fresh pappadoms crispy. Service great and great value. We are lucky to have some good Indian restaurants in the area but keep returning here as it’s my favourite. Takeaways good too.
A late review as I had clearly blocked this from my mind.
Portions are tiny, quality is poor. There are much cheaper and better alternatives in the area. I really would discourage anyone from ever ordering from here.
