We recently had a family meal at this restaurant. We found that they could use more bar staff as some seemed a bit stressed. I ordered the rack of ribs which tasted great but were not hot enough. The JD sauce was good. The corn on the cob was overcooked and inedible. My husband enjoyed his beef burger, but overall, we felt that the food was nothing special for the price. Most of our group just thought it was okay. The prices for a bottle of red wine were good and our meals came out as we ordered. They requested that we pay at the bar due to the size of our party. The main male staff member who greeted us was friendly.
The service at this restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Emily and Liz were amazing, explaining all the rules and facilities, and providing helpful information about the menu. They were great with the kids and stayed busy keeping the place tidy while looking after us and other customers. This was some of the best customer service we have experienced in a long time. They went above and beyond, which is rare these days. We stopped in for a bite after the pantomime and will definitely be back. It was the perfect end to a lovely family day. The staff and facilities at this family pub are amazing. Our food was fabulous with reasonable prices and great quality and taste. A shout out to the kitchen team as well. This place is fantastic.
