What Steven P doesn't like about Ginger Whale:
I highly recommend this restaurant for its distinctive and delectable cuisine and beverages. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, it's perfect for buying gifts such as hampers and other one-of-a-kind items. View all feedback.
A beautiful little jewel of a load, I and the woman have arrived today for some peonies (price at £12) and have spent 52 pounds! there are only so many beautiful goodies we wanted to try. the mushroom pate is well recommended and I will be very soon again for the duck and chickenpate, I hope its as well. great service and friendly staff ensure a very welcoming visit (the first of many I think.)
This is such a gem of a local deli and just gets better better each month. Friendly staff, a good range of excellent artisan breads, pastries, top quality cheeses, estate bottled wines, gins and rums. All this and make an excellent New York Deli sandwich too. Soon to open a cosy sitting area upstairs this brilliant little independent shop deserves all the local love you can give it UPDATE June 2021 Ginger Whale now has a cosy sitting area upstairs so you can eat in. Lovely friendly atmosphere, lovely menu and excellent food. They also do afternoon teas , picnic platters etc.
