Gc's Cafe - Kirklees
Gc's Cafe
Description
Nestled in the heart of the local dining scene, the restaurant has garnered mixed reviews from patrons. While some visits yield positive experiences—friendly staff, satisfying meals, and a cozy atmosphere—others reveal a concerning inconsistency in service and food quality. Diners report issues ranging from cold coffee and underwhelming sandwiches to rude staff and unappetizing dishes. Despite the potential for improvement, many customers express dissatisfaction and a reluctance to return. Still, a few loyal patrons appreciate the cheerful service and reasonable prices for their breakfast and lunch options. This restaurant remains a gamble for those seeking a reliable dining experience.

I recently visited this restaurant after a long time due to Covid. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back again. I ordered a sandwich and found that the two ladies working there were unfriendly and did not smile at all.
My friend and I visited GC cafe this lunchtime for a sandwich, but finished up ordering jacket potatoes. It was an excellent choice, I had coronation chicken and my friend had beans and cheese. We also ordered two teas and were served with a tea pot and jug of water each.I couldn't believe it when the bill arrived, it was £10-20 for the two of us. J
The food at this restaurant was awful, with a lasagna that was oily and still frozen in the middle after being heated in the microwave. The side salad was made of brown lettuce leaves, unripe tomatoes, and onions with the skin still on. The owner was rude and disrespectful, talking about customers in a disgusting manner and mistreating the staff. I wouldn't recommend going back, even if I had the time during my lunch break. It's no surprise that this place doesn't have many customers, given its location. Save yourself some time and money and drive five minutes to the Villa Farm Shop instead.
