Ate ate the storefront at the top of Inglewood Hill! The margaritas were awesome! And the fish tacos were some of the best we’ve had! Thanks for the great food! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tacos El Gueero:
I will have to try again. there is a picture of a frosty mixed margarita painted on the window outside, so we thought we would try. I ordered a strawberry margarita, which came in a pint glass and was on the rocks in the ground strawberry syrup. no chips and salsa offered. we ordered bohnentauch, salsa and quad. nothing to write for home. the service was so and they pay on fed counter. We were excited to see this restaurant and decided to try it tonight. Unfortunately, even though we were the only ones there, the food and service were not great. The asada torta was flavorless and tough, the burrito was too salty, and the ground beef enchilada was mediocre. We felt like we were deceived, but understand that every restaurant has its off days. However, we were frustrated when our bill did not match the prices on the menu and we were not given an explanation. I hope they can make some improvements, but for now, I cannot recommend this place.
I would like to give this restaurant 5 stars, but the inconsistent hours of operation prevent me from doing so definitively. They have breakfast advertised on their windows and are supposed to open at 8 o'clock, but every time I have tried to have breakfast there, they have been closed. I have attempted to go between 8 o'clock and 9:30 o'clock to avoid any issues, but have still found them closed. On one occasion, there was a sign saying they were closed for maintenance, but on other occasions, the restaurant was dark with loud ranchero music playing inside. The doors were closed and there was no one there. I have had dinner there before and it was good, so I was hoping to enjoy breakfast as well. Unfortunately, it seems like they either have someone opening the restaurant who doesn't follow the schedule or their advertising is incorrect. I will not waste my time trying again and will probably just go to La Corona down the street for dinner instead.
I was excited to try this place, but ended up very disappointed. I would give the food 2-3 stars. The chips and enchiladas were good, but nothing exceptional. The carne asada torta was awful, with more gristle than edible meat. The burrito was overly salty. The service was terrible, especially considering we were the only guests at around 6pm on a Thursday. What sealed the deal for me was the discrepancies between the menu prices and what we were actually charged. It felt like we were being ripped off. I wanted to give them another chance until I noticed that.
A quaint little Mexican restaurant! The hostess was very friendly and the food is great!!
They are never open. Never answer the phone. This would be more of a taco trailer than a truck. If they just opened and had the lady working rather than the young lazy guy they would make money. I hope a decent taco truck gets the super 24 spot.
