Oh, I think I found my new favorite local Chinese food place! What a jewel. Spices Talk is a simple small place near Fred Meyer in Totem Lake. The food was delicious, well seasoned. Easy Dine-in plus Takeout as an option. We ordered Szechuan wine tones, Singapore rice noodles, plus Mandarin crispy chickens with fried rice and sweet acid soup. Very good authentic Szechuan food. Nice little cozy inside to eat in as well. Little overpriced, would expect rice to be included at these prices. Honey Walnut Prawn: super sweet perfection Orange Chicken: a bit bland to eat by itself but good portion Fish Soft Tofu in Spicy Gravy: spicy tofu, fish, bamboo 10/10 View all feedback.
We come here once or twice a week, especially during their lunch? I looove her chili sauce!!!
This is one of our family favorite restaurants on site. We followed them when they were in Redmond. Your food is excellent, fresh and very adaptable to your spice preferences. Get the garlic string beans and hand shaved noodle Chow mine! All right!

Very flavorful! Ignore the reviews about it being bland! Had several dishes for our group and all were very good. Only $60 for four people so very reasonable priced. Excellent service and very attentive. Kept our water glasses full. Not bottled water as was reported earlier. Definitely will be returning!
If you like bland, over-priced food, this is the place for you. In the picture, what I received is on the right, and in the skillet on the left is my more palatable repair of their offering, using fresh vegetables and Asian spices. They offer no combination platters over the weekend (I was there on Sunday), and the prices are fairly high. The pork fried rice was very bland, with maybe a scattering of green onion for vegetable. I would think that for $12, the quality would be better. I could not eat more than a couple of bites.
