One of our favorite restaurants in Fife, the sushi here is amazing. The owners are vegan, which means they really know what they’re doing, and their fusion sushi is quite innovative (though sometimes it can be a bit hit or miss). Overall, dining here is a delightful experience. This review has been updated from the previous one on August 8, 2021. View all feedback.
What Peaceful Turtle doesn't like about Koku Shi:
I came here on a recommendation, and now I have to wonder if I can trust my friend... : London prices for mediocre food.. all this place has goin for it is the interior decor. The gyoza was... crunchy.. like.. impossible to eat with chopsticks, cornish pasty crunchy.. I've never had gyoza like that before...and never want to again... And the chicken katsu curry's rice was tepid.. the restaurant was empty so I can't e... View all feedback.
I have so much left over the pandemic to this disappointment. it is cheap, healthy and hearty and looks really fancy, even if delivered! you can say that they put her heart in her food.
The vegan bento box, faux duck spring rolls, curry soup, and vegan sushi sets, katsu curry are absolutely incredible. I would eat here every day if I could.
I never imagined a sushi place would open in KDY (kirkcaldy), let alone one with a whole host of vegan options. This is seriously the best vegan takeout in Kirkcaldy. The food is always warm and so filling and tasty! I would rate 5 stars if I could, this isn't your usual bland vegan option, it's legit good food and for a great price!
What a gem! Delicious vegan sushi, lots of options. Will definitely be back.
Monika, (the owner) is a vegan, and she's very welcoming and chatty. I feel like a valued customer and I've only been in twice so far.... but then I only discovered this place a few weeks ago! When you're used to walking into a restaurant and only having one vegan option available, and then you walk into Koku [censored] and find they have a huge number of vegan options, you can't help thinking you must be dreaming. You're not, even if the food does taste every bit as good as you would dream! Good prices too. I really can't recommend this place enough, nor can I wait to visit again. Only Happy Cow's rules about non-fully vegan restaurants stop this being a five star-star review.
