Was Anonym at Finns' Table a mag?
My husband and I went for a lovely meal here. The steak was to die for, the desserts were mouth watering and the wine selection was very well selected. Alice and Julie were great hosts, did everything to make sure we had a great experience and we will be back again. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Finns' Table:
Due to covid this restaurant has changed its way of operating. Food is still good but I personally feel it has lost its atmosphere. Covid has a lot to answer for. View all feedback.
Nice place for a quiet fine dining meal. Excellent food, atmosphere. Lovely meal. Highly recommend Finn's for a higher end
We arrived at 6.30 as booked. The restaurant was 75% full. We ordered only a main course each. A rump of lamb and a mushroom lasagne. They arrived 55 minutes later….hmmm? The centre temperature of the lasagne was just blood warm, totally unacceptable! I tested it with the tip of a knife on my tongue. The rump, which was not very good quality, was served with a potato garnish which was cool, as was the green cabbage, which was barely cooked…not good enough! I asked the restaurant manager if there was there an issue … he said that they have a head chef another chef who’s new. Ok, but how should a competent restaurant manage that? 'Do they use heat probe thermometers? ' I asked. 'Yes, but not for every dish '. The lasagne should have been tested as it was cooked some time well before service and hopefully properly stored in a fridge! It should never be left to the customer to quality assure the dish!! There is a considerable mismatch between the very high price and the quality and service offered. This visit provided me with considerable concern that the management of the kitchen and the restaurant is lacking in a number of respects that need to be addressed! More than disappointing!
My wife and I had an exceptional meat at Finns Farmcut in Kinsale it was the best meal of a 3 week trip, and we ate at many fine establishments! My wife had a filet and scallops surf and turf , with both elements perfectly executed, well seasoned, and flavorful. I had their beef pie, which was hearty, with deep flavor throughout and fantastic. We shared a cheese and ham croquette appetizer that was top notch, and a lemon meringe bomb that was incredible tart, not too sweet, and every bite delectable. The service was also attentive but not intrusive, the meal well paced. Overall, it was a wonderful meal that we will remember for a long time!
I cannot begin to say how amazing our night at Finns Farmcut was. The welcome from the staff, the setting and of course the food. We have never had a meal like it. It was out of this world. The steak and lamb cooked to perfection. My partner said the steak was so amazing it didnt even need a sauce. We cant stop talking about it. I would highly recommed a visit to Finns Farmcut.
My steak was cooked to perfection. Had mashed potatoes and honey roasted parsnips. One of the best meals we had on our 14 day trip to Ireland. Would highly recommend reserving in advance. The wine selection was fantastic and the service was stellar, Johnny made our evening one to remember! Sláinte!
