We visited one of the wineries and had the perch tacos from Blackjack Gastrovan and they we fabulous! Pelee Island Winery with the music, great food and accompanied with a reasonable priced glass of wine was the making of a great summer afternoon.

Blackjack Gastrovan is among the best gourmet food tucks we have experienced. Directly related to the fine Jack's Gastro-pub in Kingsville, Ontario, the Blackjack Gastrovan brings some of the best dishes to events and locations in Essex counties. Among the Gastrovan's offerings are fish tacos made with local Lake Erie perch and accented with home-made 'slaw and a delectable and tangy dressing. Some other dishes are gourmet poutine (French fries with delectable gravy and pulled pork or some other decadent topping). The menu changes periodically but usually the tried and true favourites like the fish tacos and poutine are available. The Gastrovan can also be rented for special events by private individuals. Costs are marginally more than most fast food joints but it blows them out of the water. Expect to pay about $15 for a couple of dishes which is more than enough to fill your tummy and give your taste buds a treat. If you're in the area and see the Gastrovan plying it's trade do yourself a favour and sample a couple of dishes - you will NOT regret it!
