I have been to this chippy a few times over the years. My last visit was just okay, but this time I went with my colleagues for lunch. There weren't many people in the chippy at the time. The fish we ordered seemed a bit overcooked, which can sometimes be a good thing as it prevents them from being too greasy. This restaurant consistently provides great food. The fish is fresh, flaky, and coated in a crisp golden batter. The portions of chips and gravy are generous and delicious. They even make their own special tartar sauce. The staff is always friendly, polite, and attentive.
