My son brunch had burnt bacon which I notice and asked for some unburnt bacon. My mixed grill arrived and the Meat was placed burnt side down as was my tomato. When my sons bacon arrived I asked why my meat was burnt. They said they would get me some un burnt meat but ended up giving me another meal. View all feedback.
Very popular place and I'm not surprised. We all had vegetarian breakfast. Good quality sausage, quality eggs, beans, toast, tomatoes, beans, hash brown. Nice cooked, fast service. Great price. Recommend this place

The evening started well, i had my little treat apple crumble, and a nice glass of red, my wife and i were happy people watching, seeing the efficient staff serving and clearing, then I remembered that I had to make a phone call so stepped out the side door and went round a barrier into a little side street called nipper alley, only to beckoned away by a doorman….. what’s wrong i asked he said come out!!! I said no I need to make a phone call away from the traffic noise, he ranted and i pointed out to him that it was a public road and as a doorman he had no authority to chastise me (im not a loud youth, but a mature 60+ year old) i finished my call and tried to return to my wife who was awaiting my return inside…. The young man stopped me entering insisting that because i had not followed his instruction I could not return. I said im going in, no… I insisted that I am going into my wife…. Long story short, this went on, The whole experience of this person spoilt our enjoyment to what would have been an enjoyable day
Was in this pub a week ago. going great until 2 bar staff rudely trying to get a friendly guy to leave, without finishing his pint that he paid for, all because he had his horse outside, which the actual manager knows he does every week. The horse was actually bringing in more customers as people wanted to speak the owner. Who was friendly.. there was no problem, the male bar staff just had a chip on his shoulder. I think he just wanted to try to agrivate the gentleman on purpose as I even tried to speak to the bar staff. I ended up leaving aswell as thought the staff were the problem not the gentleman with the horse.. and what a beautiful horse it was too..
Friendly and relaxed atmosphere, but stick to standard breakfast items. Ordered the Miner's Benedict and got under-toasted muffins, under-cooked and dry black pudding, poached eggs more like half-boiled ones, curdled hollandaise sauce and a handful of wilted rocket. Minging! Will be sticking to bog standard breakfast next time.
