It is in a strip mall but inside the restaurant is tastefully decorated and the ambiance is pleasant.There were so many things on the menu that sounded good and knowing we wouldn't havean opportunity to be back soon we ordered a lot.We started with the scallops and pork belly both of which were very flavourful. We split the beet salad which was light and refreshing. The server had the salad split onto two plates for us which was a thoughtful touch.For our mains my partner had the large plate chefs special which was beef tenderloin with hassleback potato. The beef was so good it practically melted in your mouth. My main was the cauliflower risotto, which was cooked perfectly.And for desert - creme brule.We were stuffed and sated and just spectacularly pleased with our whole meal. It is listed on Trip Advisor as fine dining, and the food and service were spot on. But it isn't pretentious or uncomfortable at all.For the two of us with drinks and tip we spent $150. We were fine with that but we did find some of the prices somewhat steep with regard to portion sizes and ingredients. However that wouldn't put us off visiting again.

We were there for lunch and although they do not have a large menu, the items that are offered are beautifully done. I'd go back again.

Their were a generous helping of the shrimp and the dish was quite tasty.For dinner we had the beef short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was tasty but could use a little more seasoning to make it tastier.Dessert was blueberry and peach pie which was good to finish the meal.Staff was very friendly and very attentive, our waitress did an outstanding job.Definitely will be back in the future.

The service was we... read more I made a reservation well in advance to dine at this restaurant and I'm happy I did. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride from downtown Kingston. The service was welcoming and the ambiance was perfect with the music at a low volume allowing for easy conversation. Although we weren't impressed with the main courses, we opted for two starters each. My wife enjoyed the shrimp tempura, while I chose the beet salad before indulging in the delicious scallops. The dessert options were limited, but we both decided on the crème brûlée. Overall, we were pleased with our experience and glad we decided to dine here.

The atmosphere was casual and cozy, the food was delicious, and the drinks were refreshing. My husband started with the tuna appetizer and couldn't get enough, saying it was one of the best plates he had ever tasted. I opted for the mesclun salad, which was piled high but not overwhelming before our entrees arrived. For our mains, my husband tried the duck confit on a bean cassoulet, a nice departure from the usual duck a l’orange found at most restaurants. I had the sweet potato gnocchi in a creamy sauce with broccolini and cauliflower, and both dishes were exceptional. Instead of a traditional sweet dessert, we opted to share a cheese board, which included crostini, chutney, cheese, and pickled onions. The Chateau de Bourgogne cheese was a standout. We ended our meal with Cafe au Laits, and nothing disappointed us. We learned that from June to September, the restaurant will close temporarily to make way for their food truck in the parking lot, which gives us something else to look forward to.
