We have been here twice now and the food is very good. Our most recent visit consisted of three meals. The shahi paneer was to die for, so creamy and a little sweet. The chicken tikka masala was excellent and spicy. I personally didn't like the Punjabi chorel, but my husband really did. The curry portions were large enough for us to get 2 meals out of them. We ordered on a Friday night for takeout and it took about 4... View all feedback.
Although it was late, the manager still accepted us in, that too with a smile. The food was great! Perfect tandoori roti, really nice kadhai paneer and tender lamb Rogan Josh. Although, the chicken Muglai was a bit tough, and I believe in a wrong gravy. I asked the manager for some sliced onions on the side and he got what I wanted, thank you for a lovely meal.
Awesome experience!! Food was one of the best we have tasted in all of North America. The Experience for two was a delight to have be prepared, it will be more than two people can handle. The kulchas were very well made, delicious and right off the oven. The four different curries were excellent and we got a taste of authentic North Indian cooking. Service was excellent with the owner checking in often very pleasant. No wonder this restaurant has such great reviews. Top it off, the gulab jamoons and rasgoollas were awesome as well.
This is undoubtedly the best Indian restaurant in town. Every dish had a truly authentic Indian flavor, and the generous portion sizes made the prices very reasonable. The interior decor was elegant, providing a spacious and comfortable dining environment. Service was quick, and Kumar and Rick were particularly friendly and enjoyable to chat with. I highly recommend this place!
This amazing restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience in a luxurious setting. The lighting, seating, and decorations create a perfect ambiance. The presentation of the food was excellent; however, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the flavor and taste. I typically prefer traditional flavors, and some dishes seemed a bit off to me. Overall, it was a good experience.
June 2022 It's quite rare for me to return to a restaurant, but with so many Indian dining options in Kingston, I found myself back here with a new experience. The kids certainly loved the food we ordered: - Tomato Soup - Butter Paneer Masala (mild) - Daal Tadka (medium spicy) - Chana Masala - Malai Kofta - Paneer Tikka Masala - Rice Pulao - Stuffed Aloo Naan - Paneer Stuffed Naan - Garlic Butter Naan The patio is now open, offering a lovely outdoor seating option. The staff is excellent, and the owner is more hands-on these days, making an effort to visit with guests. March 2022 (4 Stars) I visited this restaurant with college friends for dinner and found it to be a pleasant experience. They close the kitchen at 9 PM, so be sure to arrive early and place your order. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance is enjoyable. There’s a spacious seating area that can accommodate larger groups. As for the food, we may have overordered since the portions are quite generous. If you're dining in a big group, make sure to plan your order accordingly. You do receive a complimentary bowl of rice with a few curries, and the restaurant is accommodating if you want to take leftovers home. Here’s what we sampled: - Dal Makhani - Palak Paneer Masala - Paneer Gobi Aloo - Fried Shrimp - Chicken Biryani - Butter Naan - Garlic Naan The food was on the milder side, so if you prefer spicier dishes, don't hesitate to ask the chef. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of the naan; it was a bit tough and not particularly enjoyable for me. Nonetheless, if you're in Kingston, it's worth a visit!
