Kingsgrove Seafoods

A classic old school suburban fish and chip shop, I came here in search of decent quality potato scallops. I ended up ordering one potato scallop (90c each, $4.50 for five) and a 'fried fish and chips' ($9.50). As I waited, I watched a number of regulars coming in to buy takeaways and to have a chat with the person serving them, including about weekend football results. Based on all the certificates from schools and local organisations on the walls, Kingsgrove Seafoods is an active member and supporter of the local community. The food was ready quickly, and the serve of fish and chips was generous. They automatically asked if I wanted an extra lemon. I was also jokingly asked if I could finish it all (I finished about 95%). The fish - batter crispy and golden, perfectly cooked, actual fish was also cooked well. Potato scallop - again, decently sized, nicely battered, and the inside with potato texture (as opposed to the sometimes 'mushy' texture that one encounters nowadays). All in all, a positive experience. I'll be back.

Visited to get some hot chips and was met with friendly faces. Customer service was excellent for the most part; it felt as though I was being ignored. Overall pretty good.

Favorite place for a good fix of Fish n Chips, usually come on the weekend and they are always busy!! Staff are really friendly and usually give you extra! absolutely love their fresh fish!! :)

We have been going here for years. Service is great, fast and polite and the place is always clean.Their "cheaper" fillet option is NZ Hoki and it's Okay for what you pay it's probably frozen but they sell so much of it its always fresh tasting. The chips are always fresh and they do one of the best grilled Octopus. Haven't had a burger for a year or so but they are also about the best in the area.

My family and I have been hear a few times now. We always order way to much but walk out wondering if we paid enough! Amazing value and quality is fresh and wonderful. They have an extensive menu and you can pre order and pick up!
