Chat-n-nibble - Kings Mountain

The use of REAL butter would greatly enhance the dining experience and is my minimum expectation! The biscuit was excellent, but unfortunately, they only offered terrible margarine, which completely spoiled it. The atmosphere was clean, but noisy and quite sparse. My cheerful server was impressively dedicated, putting in 200% effort to manage a large number of tables. Despite her best efforts, it was clear she was overwhelmed, reminiscent of melted margarine in a tiny plastic ramekin. I appreciated her hard work and left her a well-deserved 30% tip. However, the overall experience left much to be desired, and I doubt I will return anytime soon. If they had real butter, it would have significantly improved my rating for an otherwise enjoyable meal.

One of my favorite spots for breakfast or lunch, this restaurant serves mouthwatering southern home-cooked meals, featuring daily options like pinto beans and fried okra. My personal favorite is the hearty vegetable soup paired with a grilled cheese sandwich—it’s simply delicious! Their desserts are outstanding as well. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. They also have new specials every day, along with a variety of options you can order any time.

The small team puts in a lot of effort, and they genuinely treat their customers like family!

I didn't even make it in the door the door says they're open till 1:00 I was there at 15 till they turned me away there wasn't even any customers in there to eat and this isn't the first time that has happened. Last weekend I got there at 15 till and they were already closed and sitting in their car ready to leave. They told me they quit serving people at 12:30 because they wanted to be out of there and leaving at 1:00 not a very good way to run a business. If you want to be home by 1:00 then you should change the hours on your door they were very disrespectful I will not be returning

Great experience! We had Cookie and will definitely be back! If you're looking for down to earth diner this is it! Try them pintos and cornbread!
