Our first visit under the new management. Nice to see a busy service on a winter mid-week day. Overall I would say it was not quite as good as before, but, the standard was very high. I deliberately chose the hake main because it was a classic. Now not so many elements and not quite the crispness to the skin but still very enjoyable. Service was excellent and well paced. We enjoyed the roasted monkfish, absolutely exquisite combination of flavours beautifully cooked with great presentation. Certainly one of the best meals we’ve had during our trip the Duck never disappoints. Charming, friendly service.
Lovely food but overpriced compared to other venues, the pub has a lovely decor and the staff some was nice and others abit abrupt and we waited nearly an hour for our lunch and we didn't have any starters I felt like we was forgotten about as other tables were getting served alot quicker I booked over the phone and I don't think it had been put through even though I did have 3 text messages to confirm my booking and my name was not on the list when I arrived
We had a fabulous meal here tonight. The food was presented beautifully and was delicious. Very friendly staff we will eat here again!
We had visited the Duck many times before but not for a number of years. As we had taken a cottage across the road for a week we ate there one evening. Well we weren’t disappointed, the service was excellent, the food some of the best we had that week and such a lovely restaurant. We eat out each night when we are on holiday and we couldn’t fault this place for price and quality. We will definitely visit again when we are next in Norfolk.
