Description

Dining at this restaurant offers a pleasant experience with a semi-pub atmosphere and friendly bosses. While the prices may be slightly high, the food quality is good, especially the seafood dishes. Customers can expect a warm welcome and a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients. The hearty, simple dishes ensure a satisfying meal, with standout options like mussels and seafood chowder. Despite some issues with service and table placement, the overall dining experience is enjoyable and recommended for visitors to County Clare. A great option for those looking for a cozy, well-established local spot with delicious food offerings.

Terrible service. Lots of staff just standing around doing nothing. Took 10+ minutes to get a beer (in a can! and a coke. Food took forever too. Food was decent, not great. Staff was apathetic. Atmosphere was nice though a pretty pub. Only go of you have a LOT of time Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Simply the worst eggs Benedict I’ve ever had in my life. This is a tried and tested formula, and is not served on soggy white bread, very disappointing and full price paid. Very expensive for poor quality. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Welcome with visiting advice. Very attentive service! Perfect fish cooking. The oysters are excellent. Too bad the fries aren't homemade. The ice creams are homemade and live up to their reputation. A very pleasant moment. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Booked an early meal this evening and so very happy that we did so. My husband chose the Irish Stew which had plenty of lamb and was full of flavour. It could only have been better with a slice of bread to accompany it. For myself, I chose the Crab and Mussel Linguine from the Specials Board. Probably the most enjoyable seafood linguine I have had. Full of crab. Apparently it was sold out within 40 minutes of our being seated. Congratulations to the chef for this addition to the menu and to the young lady and gentleman serving us, who made us feel very welcome.

Would well recommend this fabulous pub in Carrigaholt, worth considering coming here if you're in Kilkee. Great food and service.
