Was Anonym at Turntable a mag?
I ordered the fish platter, featuring a pot of steaming mussels and cockles alongside two generous pieces of fish—it was absolutely delicious. Another person in our group chose the rigatoni with chicken and mushrooms and loved it just as much. Others went for the burgers, which also earned glowing praise. For dessert, we indulged in some fantastic choices: pavlova, sticky toffee pudding, and cookie dough with ice cre... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Turntable:
First, the service was excellent. I had the fish and chips which was pricey at €17 and the batter wasn’t great. It all fell off and was too crispy. The fish itself was good. My husband had the steak which had quite a bit of gristle and was very salty. For the price of the steak there was no salad or veg. Mediocre meal. View all feedback.
I visited my cousin Mary Flagherty in Killybegs 10 August to 15 August; I was in Killybegs for 5 nights and had an evening meal at the Tara for 3 of those evenings. A couple of the main reasons I love this restaurant are that the food is excellent and is a reasonable price, a varied menu, and you can just have a starter if you want. There is a beautiful view overlooking the Atlantic. Yvonne and the staff were as ever efficient and very friendly. Love this place never disappointed.
Unfortunately very disappointed experience, poor choice of menu, long waiting , and absolutely bland and tasteless food. We won’t be back and we don’t recommend this place at all.
Visited twice. They have loads of tables and lots of staff working, so it's handy spot to just walk in. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. One evening we got a seat at the window and it was lovely to look out at the harbour. Would reccommend.
Passing through Killybegs one evening, we called in to Tara Hotel restaurant for an evening meal. The staff were excellent , the premises were recently revamped to a high standard. The food was excellent with large portions and we would certainly recommend this venue.
We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Turntable, a charming restaurant with spacious seating ideal for large families. We shared the prawns and monkfish, accompanied by a side salad, and both dishes were flavorful and satisfying. Parking was somewhat challenging around 7 PM, so I had to park a bit further away. The restaurant also boasts a beautiful view.
