Was Anonym at Shilo Inn a mag?
I hadn’t been to Shilo Inn in over five years. All the staff I met were very warm and friendly, true Central Texas hospitality. The restaurant is now closed on Mondays, and they no longer offer breakfast—in fact, no breakfast at all. The pool is open and looks very inviting. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean and comfortable. The TVs are seriously old—like something from the 1990s—but the bed was very firm and th... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Shilo Inn:
the catering service was terrible. we had to drive our own tables and they didn't deliver any muzzles when we had a party in their Alamo room. the personal was nice, but could have been more attentive, what was necessary for a big party. the food was in order, the flesh was literally hard as a brick. everyone had a hard time cutting in it. I do not recommend this place at all, unless they have nothing to be left alon... View all feedback.
Good job on paying for good reviews because my experience was horrible. Because I spent more for this room, I expected a certain quality and received the complete opposite. The check-in was a joke. One person at an office desk was checking people in at a snail pace. There were 5-6 people in front of me, so we waited in line for 45 minutes. I knew at that point it was going to be downhill from there and it was. The hallways had NO A/C, zero. And we all know what kind of summer we're having in TX, so this was unacceptable. The heat hits you in the face as you walk to your room. The a/c in the room worked, but the room was not clean, see pictures. The hotel and room smells like it was built in the 1800s and should be demolished. I wore slides in the room the whole time, the floor was dirty. I did not step foot in the shower because there were stains in the tub, gross. Stains on the pillow cases and couch, ew. Luckily, I only had to spend a total of 5 hours in this room and that was to rest my eyes before I hit the road. If I ever have to come back to Killeen, I think I'll take my chances at a cheap hotel, I believe I'll have better luck.
I expected a nice hotel but that's not what I had. The hotel room was large but felt like a old motel 6. The fridge was frozen over up top and water sitting in the bottom. The TV was tiny and hard to get reception. There was a used condom next to my night stand, I tried talking to the individual cleaning but she couldn't understand me therefore no room service. The bed made so much noise I thought it was broken. There were drops of blood in the elevator which werent cleaned up during my 3 day stay and the carpet in the hallwall is so old, worn, and warped it was hard to manage the old luggage cart. Let's just say I'll NEVER stay there again.
Okay this the best for the price we walked through five hotels in Killeen and this is the best! The renovations are being actively done to improve the halls. The rooms are very clean, smoke free, pool is great! Service was so accommodating!
The restaurant's catering service was terrible. We had to clean our own tables and they did not have trash cans available in their Alamo room for our party. The staff was friendly but could have been more attentive to the needs of a larger group. The quality of the food was mediocre at best, with the meatloaf being extremely tough. It was difficult for everyone to cut into it. I would not recommend this place unless you are okay with being left to fend for yourself without enough plates, drinks, utensils, trash cans, or staff.
Our stay at this hotel was quite enjoyable. The hotel, while showing its age in certain areas, is pet-friendly. Although there is no complimentary breakfast offered, there are grocery stores nearby. The location also boasts shopping and dining options, as well as easy access to the highway. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and jacuzzi, and found the gym adequate for a decent workout.
