Geechie's Southern Style - Killeen

The food definitely gave the definition of sole food . The place was small and really packed. A lot of people were there which gave a sign of good service. The fries were seasoned seasoned. I can tell a black person was back there cooking. It was a lot of food as well. I do recommend this place only for people who love highly over seasoned food. Candied Yams, collard greens, green beans, mac cheese

This was a random chance coming here and oh my God the food was amazing!!!!!! Those candied yams where the bomb!!!! Geechie basket , it had Catfish,shrimp,chicken , hush puppies, I substituted the fries for yams. There was a lady here that waited 45 mins for the yams so I knew they had to be good!!!!

I try to support black businesses but sometimes the customer service is NOT there and this is why we patron white businesses and continue to go back to them. I had the cafeteria special. This is food that is already cooked that you can just get off the line. I absolutely did not like the collard greens. Asked if I could try something else. I was told I had to pay since the greens were on my plate. Wth? So I don't like your dish but if I want another side that possibly tastes better, I have to pay. Never..... heard of this. But.... this is why we often patron other places. I just scraped the food off of my plate but.... I'm sure I'll still have to pay for it. Christians right? Oh OK. To reply to this business' lack luster response. I did not ask to TASTE TEST the food. Reading is absolutely fundamental. The collard greens were nasty. I wanted a different side as I couldn't eat that. You're too busy being defensive as opposed to actually reading. This is NOT my first visit to this establishment. As always, I'll give you or any other business the benefit of the doubt and visit again. And again, something else happened. I decided to give it a review this time. Yes we do have to do better. Me nor my guest ate the greens. She decided not to say anything, I did. Poor reply but... what can I expect.

It’s the sweet potatoes and the Big House chicken for me, and the shrimp and grits. Let’s face it all of Geechie’s dishes are great. The service is great and the staff is super nice.

I can eat here everyday!!! Love the catfish and grits! Please don’t ever go out of business while I’m stationed here. Thanks!
