If you are craving German food, this is it! My husband used to live in Europe so we are always on the lookout for some authentic eats. FAVORITE thing: Jaeger Schnitzel (porkcutlet with mushroom gravy) rosemary potatoeswith cucumber salad on the side.Interesting fact: the food truck is run by a retiredmilitary couple and any homeless vet can alwaysget a free meal with them View all feedback.
What Alexanne Kihn doesn't like about Check Point Germany:
They were booked for an event over a month in advance. They are booked twice a day after confirmation with me and send via their logo. Posters were made and online advertising was paid. Only when I saw the other booking on social media, I was made aware that they had canceled at my event. You have no professionalism and honesty. I wouldn't do business with them unless you have a backup plan. View all feedback.
This Midwestern girl knows a good Breaded Pork Tenderloin (BPT) when she tastes one, but they can be hard to find in Central Texas. I recently visited Checkpoint Germany food truck at Rentsch Brewery in Georgetown, TX, during Oktoberfest and decided to try their schnitzel plate. It resembled a breaded pork tenderloin, so I brought it home and turned it into a sandwich. It was amazing! The breading was perfect—not greasy, just the right thickness, and seasoned to perfection. The potatoes brought back memories of my grandmother's cooking. I highly recommend this dish and suggest they offer it as a sandwich called the BPT Schnitzel. I'm sure it would attract and satisfy the many Hoosiers and Hawkeyes craving a taste of home.
The service was outstanding. The young man working in the heat (with a heat index of 108°) maintained a fantastic attitude, which was truly refreshing. The Jägerschnitzel with fries was delicious. I will definitely be returning!
The staff are very friendly, and the jaeger schnitzel is absolutely delicious!
