This is a fabulous location, views over a glorious beach and blue ocean. Food for brunch is good and varied, staff were friendly and attentive, without being over the top. On the right day this venue is hard to beat for its spectacular scenery and good value. View all feedback.

We have been here many times as the location is stunning, and it seems that different owners have very different treatments! We have not brought our overseas friends here for a while as we had some bad experiences, apparently with a previous owner. This time, we had a great experience. It was a Wednesday lunch, not school holidays, and not busy. The food came quickly as you might expect. It was great. The laksa burger was delicious, accompanied by excellent coconut prawns. The potato chips were brilliant. The barramundi with lemon myrtle was nice, a tiny bit too long in the pan, but still nice. The drinks were great. Our waiter was very attentive, pleasant, and helpful. We are so pleased that one of our favourite destinations is good again. We will return with our guests.
Perfect place for a lazy sunny day lunch. Superb outlook over Killcare Beach to the Bouddi National Park. Interesting and varied menu, small reasonably priced wine and beer list. Duck pancakes, salmon and dukkha, barramundi with lemon myrtle. All good. Fish probably a fraction over cooked but quite acceptable. Pleasant and unobtrusive service.Highly recommended.
I visited recently with friends for a ladies' lunch to celebrate a 60th birthday. It was a Wednesday early March and we arrived and the restaurant was empty. We have been to this restaurant many times and each time it has been Licensed and BYO. I was carrying a bottle of Bollinger champagne so that we could toast the birthday girl with a nice drop on her special day. We were greeted "we are not BYO!!!!" I apologised and said that I didn't realise they were no longer BYO and that we had been there on previous occasions and believed they were still licensed and BYO. I explained it was a 60th birthday celebration and asked to see their wine list. The offering was a choice of Jacobs Creek and another non-descript sparkling wine. I asked if they would allow us to drink the bottle and I was happy to pay a significant corkage for the privilege. The attitude was very unhelpful and this lady was really not interested in assisting in any way. I explained that if they had a suitable bottle of "champagne" for our celebration we would be more than happy to purchase it and keep our Bollie for later . They didn't and she really didn't care. I asked again, can you not just allow this one occasion, given that you don't have anything similar on your wine menu. A bad attitude and very poor customer service. I turned to my friends and asked what they wanted to do. Being the local, the decision was left to me. We left the restaurant and drove to Point Cafe at Avoca - what a very different experience!!!! We were welcomed by a young gentleman who could not have done anything more for us. We enjoyed the yummiest lunch and celebrated with our Bollinger. It is such a shame for Horizons. What makes good restaurants great restaurants is the combined experience. Sadly, the feeling we had as we left Horizons was disappointment and amazement. It's all about Customer Service and the feeling and experience you have had as you leave a restaurant. Sadly our feeling was not positive. Things do happen for a reason - we will certainly not bother driving to Horizons Killcare for future lunches we will head to Point Cafe Avoca. You should try it.
