The Candle Room - Killarney

We stayed for 2 nights and found the room to be very nice. The staff were excellent and the location was great. However, we were a bit disappointed with the food. The breakfast ingredients seemed like they were similar to generic brand products found in supermarkets. Dinner was good but we were expecting better quality.

The bar staff should be knowledgeable about the correct way to pour Guinness. If it is poured improperly, it should be thrown out. Unfortunately, my Guinness was poured incorrectly by a staff member today, and it was a disappointing experience.

We had two wonderful meals in this intimate restaurant. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The lighting and mood is conducive to a romantic evening. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

The atmosphere in the Candle Room is of quiet elegance with soft classical music in the background. It is special without being stuffy or overbearing because the staff is so well trained and friendly. When they place or remove plates, there is nary a sound and their attentiveness to your water and cutlery needs is exemplary. This is about to become our go to special place when we have guests or when we want to treat ourselves to a really nice meal and experience. The menu is varied and is excellent value for money at €29 for 3 courses, including coffee and tea. Come here to DINE, not just eat. Heather, Nuala and Lisa were outstanding!

Lovely ambience ,beautifully decorated ,very good food ,staff excellent ,very friendly and accomadating .will definitely be returning.
