Lovely place. We didn’t wait long. My husband had the fish which he said was delicious. I couldn’t due to food allergies. However, I was able to have chips because they are fried in a gluten free frier! What a treat. We got to sit at the picnic benches right on the water with our dogs. It was wonderful. What User doesn't like about Herbert Fisheries:
I didn't really like the flavour of the fish they use (local white fish), but it was cooked perfectly and was very fresh. They also had a ton of condiments available. I though it was a bit expensive though, especially because a lot of the pieces we got were stick shaped. View all feedback.
Nice spot by the dock, the ideal place to eat fish and chips. The fish is very light and the fries are very potato-y!
Finally made it to famous Herbert's in Killarney. The fish and chips were amazing. Great place right on the water. Plenty of parking and nice clean place.
Doesn't get any fresher! Pickerel meal was excellent. Also purchased freshly fileted vacuumed sealed pickerel at reasonable price. Can enjoy on patio on the water overlooking marina.
The best fresh pickerel you will ever eat! This is a best kept secret, 100 kms from Sudbury. Located in Killarney village, 10 kms from Killarney National park. Tried mushroom caps for the first time and was super tasty! The restaurant was busy with locals.
Was camping in the area and heard we had to go here. The fish is super fresh but everything was very greasy, not much if any seasoning, and $30 for a portion was a bit steep
