While the offerings are commendably wholesome, some dishes could benefit from added ingredients for balance and flavor. The ambiance is upscale, complemented by attentive staff eager to enhance your dining experience. Guests rave about the delicious options available, especially the generous dessert portions. Though there is room for improvement in variety, particularly in proteins and sauces, the restaurant is developing into a vegan hotspot, making it a must-visit for both hotel guests and locals alike.
I believe Killarney will become a vegan hotspot in the future. The Brehon is leading the way with a dedicated vegan dinner menu and a delicious vegan roasted breakfast. We enjoyed everything we tried over the two nights, although some dishes were a bit lacking in sauce and seasoning. The fried vegan breakfast was fantastic, but the sausages were too dry. They could consider offering Denny sausages instead. The variety may be limited for three consecutive nights, but we were very impressed overall. The vegan bread options were fantastic, and it would be great if Flahavans provided mini cartons for hotels to reduce waste. Some suggestions for improvement include offering more milk alternatives, such as almond milk, and providing a vegan butter option for toast. Overall, vegans staying in Killarney will be pleased with either The Brehon or The Europa.
We had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant in Ireland. We were pleasantly surprised to find a good selection of vegan options. A vegetarian/vegan menu is available upon request, and staff members are friendly. Some ingredients used are organic, which is a nice touch. This is not your typical vegan junk food; the food is wholesome and real. We highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!
The restaurant has a separate menu for vegetarians/vegans, with a few nice vegan options. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant/hotel is very nice, quite upscale and a great location for food. The food itself was pretty good, though some dishes were lacking compared to others.
They love their hotel and stay regularly there as they are for vegans! it is always a pleasant experience and I look forward to our next trip, so we can try the five curs vegan flavor!
The restaurant offers a separate vegan menu, but there was a limited amount of nuts or plant-based proteins available overall. I ordered the curry, which contained some nuts, but adding chickpeas or lentils would have made it more balanced and satisfying. For dessert, I tried the chocolate brownie, which was delicious and a large portion. I would return to the restaurant, but next time I will order a dish with beans or lentils for a more gourmet experience.
