The service was very good too attentive and friendly without being in any way fussy. :

We all enjoyed a delicious meal, with top-notch steaks and seafood. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and the desserts were superb. The Open Door is a wonderful addition to Killala, using local ingredients in their dishes. We also enjoyed some great after-dinner drinks at Gilvarry's pub across the road. I highly recommend dining at The Open Door.

She describes each dish in a cheerful manner, and the presentation is simple but elegant, allowing the delicious food to speak for itself. My only disappointment is that this restaurant is far from my home, so I can only dine here when I visit The Old Deanery Holiday Cottages - another excellent establishment. I will definitely be returning soon.
