Lovely quite country pub great food and drink good staff very reasonable

My group of 20 cyclists pre-booked soup and sandwiches for lunch after our ride up and around Mt Leinster. We received exactly what we had hoped for - delicious food and excellent service. Thank you to everyone.

After our cycling group of 20 people completed our ride around Mt Leinster, we had pre-ordered soup and sandwiches for lunch. We were delighted to have our expectations met with scrumptious food and exceptional service. A big thank you to all staff members involved in making our meal enjoyable.

The restaurant was busy during Sunday lunch, but being completely ignored while waiting to be seated was unacceptable. All of the staff either walked past me or turned their backs when I tried to get their attention. The least they could have done was talk to me and inform me about the wait time. I was with my elderly parents, both in their 90s, and they left us standing there. The seating process needs improvement, as having 2 people sitting at a table for 4 is not efficient. They should also offer chairs to older customers, as there were plenty available. Once we finally got a table, our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. The lunch was okay, but the portions were small. The desserts were too expensive at €7 each. Paying attention to small details will make this place excellent.

This restaurant serves excellent pub food, although it may be a bit pricey for common dishes. The fish, in particular, is extremely tasty.
