Here we have experienced many beautiful events. Always exciting to get through the parking lot, almost in time history... The hall is beautiful and walkable. In Corona times, the courage that owes few people was lacking. View all feedback.

Plans for the future are at the moment unclear, but the state of municipal finances in Kiel will do nothing to bring the necessary investment to this centrally situated establishment, vital, I would have thought to the Kieler Schloss concert hall and entertainment facility.

This elegant and upmarket restaurant, serving fine food and some rather good wines, was once the top place in Kiel. Then, in 2008, the situation changed and the clientele decided to abandon ship. A rather discreet copper-plated entrance door is almost all that signifies the entrance to the Kieler Schloss Restaurant. Inside you find a cosy and refined interior. From the tables near the windows you get a view over Kiel Harbor. They do have outdoor seats for the summer, but with the rather busy harbor street running in front, I don't think the outdoor seats can qualify as cosy. Menu is characterized by quite traditional recipes. They have a couple of menu-selections as well. Game, steak, fish etc., but not really anything if you're vegetarian. Execution of the menu is very good. We got an appetizer before our starters. A fresh cheese bread-spread with spring-onions and some good bread on the side. I tried the Crab soup with pieces of marinated cucumber and small shrimps, and a half "country duck" as my courses. Both courses were very tastefull, the duck was very tender. But as mentioned - quite traditional. With the red cabbage, the baked apple and the German version of glazed potatoes. So if this is your thing, you will be well served at Kieler Schloss. Service was excellent and never intrusive. Kieler Schloss is a place where you can be certain to be well served on ex a business occasion. I would consider the menu to be maybe a bit on the heavy side, for a more personal or romantic occasion.
