As for the loc... read more I will start with the positive: the manager at the location was very courteous and helpful. The waiters were ok but they could use more training. As for the location, I got deceived by the description; 9th floor and roof top . It was based on this that i decided to have my last iftar of this year 's ramadan here as i thought it would give me and my children the view of the sky for moon spotting. But alas, the restaurant is located on 5th floor and doesn 't have any terrace access. Ambiance: It is ok. It would seem that they did tried to make an effort, but that 's about it. Nothing impressive. Finally the food: i felt cheated out of my money. Nothing was at par, may that be the juice fountain, the salad bar, the main courses or the sweets. The only saving grace was the mutton khabsa rice, but sadly that was made in limited quantity. Moreover, the time (or maybe the food quantity) was limited to one hour. Iftar started at around 630pm and they wrapped up the 730pm. To give them a bit of a margin for food taste, maybe it was strongly oriented towards local taste (hence bland and flavorless), but if that was the case then the dessert should have been great but it was hopeless. The desserts didn 't feel fresh nor did it feel like good quality ingredients were used. Usually Umm Ali is a saving grace for such occasions but apparently they managed to successfully screw that up as well. For me, it is a big no-no for next time.
