Turtle Town - Keystone
Turtle Town
Description
Turtle Town is a charming establishment that masterfully blends a candy store, ice cream parlor, and cozy café, making it an ideal stop for sweet treats and coffee lovers alike. The inviting ambiance is complemented by a diverse selection of desserts, including impressive ice cream cakes and delightful fudge. Patrons particularly rave about the Caramel Waffle Cone ice cream and robust coffee options. However, the staff’s lack of coordination and inconsistent customer service detracts from the overall experience. With some improvements in hospitality, Turtle Town could easily become a must-visit spot for locals and visitors exploring the city's vibrant offerings.

Visited in October. The fudge tastes like sugar with little to no flavoring. The store clerk (female) won't mention name, started it was buy 1/2 pound of fudge and get a 1/2 pound free. We checked out and left and got down the road and looked at receipt and was charged for both 1/2 pounds of fudge and it wasn't even anywhere near to being good fudge. Service: Takeaway
We were in the night before leaving town, just after eating dinner. We were planning to get the creamy fudge we were craving. We bought 3 pkgs and got 1 free. Back to our hotel room, we got the fudge out and it was hard as a rock. Dry, brittle, and horrible. The fudge was individually wrapped in plastic wrap and had to be old. We were going to return it the next day but needed to leave by 8 am and the shop didn’t open until 10 $40 down the drain. Never will I buy fudge where samples are not offered. What a waste of money. Plus their system asked for a tip.
Great quality ice creams! Single scoop is $5 but double scoop $6, so we all had double scoops! Street parking is very limited, but you got the open parking 20 feet south opposite to the Alpaca store for $5 all day. Nice little coffee, fudge and ice cream shop on the route to Mt Rushmore. It’s not a sophisticated coffee shop but the service was great, coffee was ok. They do offer a 32 oz cold brew if you need a BIG coffee. It’s in the heart of the Keystone shopping/tourist district. Best Ice Cream I have ever had! 2 scoops, one of them Huckleberry in a waffle cone 7.00 in a tourist area. Unheard of price and delicious. We dripped on the floor and I told the guy and he came right out with a smile and said no big deal and cleaned it up.
