Fernandy's Cafe - Key West

The absolute best Cuban sandwiches in Key West! I promised I'd leave you a rating on Google, haha. The staff is fantastic. If I ever return to the Keys, I will definitely come back!

While it wasn't the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had, it was definitely one of the better ones. This place is a local favorite and not a tourist spot. There's a nice vibe, although outdoor seating is limited. The portions are generous, and the service is excellent—it's a lovely family-run establishment.

A food truck where they don't expect it. a native suggested it and the cafe con leches was very, very smooth. the tortas were huge and worth the price paid. opens early and stays open late, so it is a great place to check if they want a quick, light bite to eat.

This restaurant features a fantastic food truck-style setup in a permanent location. I really enjoyed the Cuban pork with black beans and plantains—it was both filling and delicious! The black beans were very flavorful, with a lovely citrus finish. The plantains and beans were also excellent, and I appreciated that they serve them separately so you can mix them as you like. I loved the generous swirl of sauce they added. The combination of pork with the black beans and plantains was perfect. The service was helpful and friendly, and there’s a lovely little outdoor seating area that provides shade, making it a great spot to enjoy your meal. I can’t wait to return!
