Called on a Sunday afternoon to book a room. Got in at 9pm and we were greeted and told how to get into the hotel. Gentleman even walked us up to our hotel room. Gentleman was very friendly and treated us like family. We left early morning to go to algoma for fishing and he was excited to hear about how our fishing went. We will definitely be back. What Mike S doesn't like about Karsten:
Stayed there for 2 weeks. No housekeeping. Asked for a fridge and microwave he said he was going to put one in my room but never did. I checked out about 3 days early was going to refund me two days paid but never did. Would definitely not recommend staying here. View all feedback.
Came to the city for one night they had rooms available. The rooms were clean. They were very hospitable very great customer service, and I will definitely stay here again.

I beautiful, but aged beauty. This hotel has a long and storied history. Don’t stay if you are expecting everything to be perfect. Alex, the owner was pleasant and gave us a special tour of the tavern area.I hope they are able to make it a viable business and make it a place where people not only come to experience a haunting but a true appreciation for its grand architecture.The beds were super comfy. We actually overslept.
