Main problem was sheer curtains kept the room dimly lit all night. Owner 's nephew was charming.This time the owner was present we paid $150 for same room (breakfast incl. . Sheers still allowed room to be dimly lit all night. Breakfast consisted of serve-yourself dry cereal, sweet rolls juice which I believe was sitting out all night as we had seen it when we walked thru dining area night before.Additionally, our bathroom vent fan wasn 't working owner seemed not to believe us when we mentioned it but after seeing for himself said someone would look at it.The building is a treasure and with a lot of costly restoration work, could return to its former elegance.All in all, we were quite disappointed this time.

No housekeeping. Asked for a fridge and microwave he said he was going to put one in my room but never did. I checked out about 3 days early was going to refund me two days paid but never did. Would definitely not recommend staying here.

The Hotel is beautiful. Alex is very knowledgeable about the the history and very accommodating! We went for the ghosts, smelled Mr. Karsten's cigars a couple times and Agathas roses. Emf reader spiked throughout the hotel other than that nothing much for activity. But the stories are fun to listen to! We will definitely be going back! Thank you Alex for being such a great Host :
