Woodlands Cottages Camping

The host was welcoming. The setting in amongst the trees, beautiful. Sadly, the facilities weren't what one would expect. The outside bath (which was the reason for selecting this cottage was filthy (pic below), the bedding was very creased, no cover on the bed base (as a finishing touch), the duvet cover inner were different sized, the towels were damp, one couldn't sit up in bed (no headboard and the bed isn't flush against the wall due to the structure framework and no inside walling), the verandah wasn't swept and outside table and chairs too dirty to sit on and the geyser was cold in the morning.

The ablutions at the bush camp is very basic, but if you don't need five star luxury, you will enjoy camping at Woodlands. We did not camp during the school holidays so we were alone at the site. It might be a bit crowded during the holidays. Great area and it really feels like you are in the bush. The restaurant has a great vibe. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed our stay.
