I particularly enjoyed the coleslaw, which was better than those I have had at other barbecue places - it was very fresh and light. These side dishes are of a quality that you would not expect at a fast-food restaurant. Ivars is a Seattle institution for good reason!

The clams were decent, but I have to agree with others that there was too much breading and not enough clam, which is accurate. The fries were almost cold. The chowder was definitely the standout dish.
