Booked a room here for an overnight and what a relief to have a good room , shower , and air con ahead of an appointment. The staff were friendly, informative and the pub served a good meal.and drinks for the evening, I shall no doubt be back. View all feedback.
What Asha K doesn't like about The Kph:
Looks like a nice place. Beer was flat. Bartender (woman) didn’t seem very welcoming. No smiles. Just served the flat beer. On the upside, there were games you could entertain yourselves with. View all feedback.
KPH fine dining at pub food prices! What a fabulous time we had last night. The food was exceptional and the service was so friendly. It is the first time we have been for dinner since it re opened under new management. We were so impressed. The presentation of the food was more than a cut above what we expected. Such fine food and really good value. I couldn't recommend it more highly.
We stayed at the hotel above the pub for 2 nights. Initially, we weren't planning on leaving a review, but our stay was so unpleasant that we felt we had to share our experience. The room was cozy and clean, which gave us a good impression at first. We weren't bothered by the noise of sirens and car horns, as that's to be expected in London. However, we soon noticed a number of issues. The bathroom had no ventilation fan and the sink was clogged. The fridge, located in a common area, was empty as all the water, milk, and fruits had been taken. There was no radiator in the room, only an external heater that didn't adequately warm the room. On the second night, the boiler seemed to have been turned off when the pub closed down. We were unable to take a warm shower and couldn't get anyone to answer our calls or messages. After a failed attempt at a cold shower, we discovered that the sliding door lock was jammed, trapping us inside. Eventually, we managed to free ourselves with a forceful yank. The next day, when we needed to prepare for a funeral, there was still no hot water. The cleaning lady rushed us to check out promptly at 11am. When we explained our situation and asked about the shower, she indifferent replied, "I don't know, but you have to check out now, it's 11." Despite our pleas for just an extra 10 minutes, we left the room feeling cold, exhausted, and disappointed.
Food was SO WEIRD... ordered a veggie meatball in sauce wrap. Instead got very dry veggie sausages cut length ways, plastic type cheese with some sauce spread on the wrap. Either the chef was having one hell of a bad day, or it was a hate crime against vegetarians. The chips were good, the staff were lovely and its a nice place for a pint.
In nottinghill for a short break and this was a great pub. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and the Wednesday night quiz was great fun ,if somewhat challenging...swat up before you go. Matt the quizmaster was entertaining and informative and kept everyone involved. Great night. We returned a couple of nights later and were welcomed back by the staff who remembered us!! Who said London wasn't a friendly place
I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. I have been familiar with this place for more than 20 years, and it still has the same charm. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff are friendly and professional. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in Ladbroke Grove.
