We decided to dine at Pret à Manger this time because we found some available seating compared to other crowded nearby restaurants. It turned out to be a convenient visit for us. We placed our order, paid, received our food, and enjoyed it without any hiccups. The efficiency of the service allowed us to spend more time catching up with a friend we hadn't seen in months, which made us quite content. Additionally, the... View all feedback.
What WillLondonParis doesn't like about Pret A Manger:
Service not good at all. Massive queue all the time and toilet always closed. What a joke , it is so many coffee places around where you can get a great breakfast and a good customer service. View all feedback.
My local Pret is great, so as I was in South Kensington I tried this one. Food was ok, but I’m afraid found the staff very ‘offish’. The shelf was empty of ‘Pole Line Caught tuna baguettes’, so I asked the guy serving me if they had any out back I could have. I received a curt “No, once they’re gone, they’re gone answer.” So i settled for a cheese one. Half way through eating it they brought out loads of the tuna ones and filled the shelf with them so what I’d been told was obviously a blatant lie; the guy obviously just couldn’t be bothered to go get me one. At the end, I needed the toilet, but you needed to enter the code on your receipt in order to gain admittance. I hadn’t been given or offered a receipt when I bought my food, so as per the instructions on the toilet door, I again went to the counter and asked a different member of staff for entry. “Toilets are shut all blocked!” he responded before turning his back on me to begin laughing and chatting to a member of staff behind him. (I have since read a review from another diner left 7 months ago, that none of the toilets were open when HE visited either! I rarely complain, but on this occasion the staff certainly needed a course on how to politely deal with their customers I won’t be using this particular branch again I’ve been married for 43 years and my wife has treated me with complete distain for most of them; I don’t need to go to Pret in order to get more of the same!

Completely agree. Grumpy and hopelessly slow service. What happened to the old and reliably friendly and good Pret?
Long lines, rude staff, busy , busy saturday and both toilets closed. Staff said they were both broken. Food seemed old and mushy sandwiches.
I only go to Pret when I'm in London because there isn't any where I live, which is unfortunate. I visited 2 years ago and again in November 2021, and I had drinks and food at probably 4 different locations in London. The coffee is always great, and I especially enjoyed the cheese pickle baguettes. The staff at all locations were efficient and friendly. I love this place for a quick pit stop.
