While many diners rave about the generous portion sizes and delicious dishes like seafood pasta and expertly baked pizzas, some have expressed concerns about certain menu items being bland or served lukewarm. Issues with payment acceptance caused frustration for a few guests, although overall, the ambiance and attentive staff left a positive impression. For those in South Kensington seeking a satisfying Italian meal, Cacciari's proves to be a quaint option worth considering.
We had a lovely meal and the service was great but our evening was spoiled when our waiter came back and said he was not allowed to accept the one £20 Scottish banknote we had left as payment, along with English notes. He explained the owners didn't allow it, the Manager came over and explained the same. Both were apologetic but said they couldn't take the £20. We could have just taken it back and reduced the tip, but that would have been unfair on the staff who had been great as always. It's such a pity as we've eaten here on a few occasions during our visits to London, but we'll not go back. There are many other restaurants happy to accept money from another part of the United Kingdom, considering its banked in the same way as English notes are, and worth the same too.
Amazing experience. Honestly difficult to find in London Italian restaurant that food, tagliatelle with beef fillet ragu is unbelievably tasty. We have been treated very nicely and the hospitality was great. Really suggested
Gourmets can be dismissive of pizzas, but writing as someone who cooks and appreciates fine food, I have a weakness for these relatively simple confections. Mind you, their reputation is done no favours by much of what is on offer in the market. When I hanker for a pizza I go to Cacciari. Wood fired oven, charcoal crust if you want it (beneficial for the digestion), good ingredients. And they have a couple of decent house beers as well as some perfectly good wines. What is there not to like?
I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was exceptional. It's a hidden gem in Earls Court.
Wonderful food, great service. Best pistachio ice cream I’ve ever had. Dinner was delicious. Tiramisu great too.
