I'm almost remiss to leave a review because I don't want more people coming here and ruining it for me! The wine is glorious, regardless of your palate, and as affordable as any other winery in the area. It's a great place to go before or after a trip to Longwood Gardens, which is literally a stone's throw to the south. Galer was a nice enough PA vineyard. They have clearly just opened for this weekend which my party was very understanding of, but we could not receive much during our stay. We drove an hour from the city and made a reservation for the tasting menu for six people, when we arrived we were told that no tasting glasses were available. We could only order bottles. Great deck with tables with umbrellas and a nice view of the vineyards. Nice wines, and some light fare served by a friendly staff.
Great wine and ambience! Both inside and outside seating. Decently priced wines. We tried their flights of whites. All were good, wish the quantity was a little more though for flights, probably just me We took the Huntress White (most floral wine) home.
I was a little early (on purpose) to pick my son up from WCU so I could visit a winery while I was in PA. Galer Estate was the one I locked in on and wasn’t disappointed. Beautiful vineyard and awesome wines. I’ll be visiting again soon.
Great location, friendly staff and of course super wine! Live music and perfect weather, 72 sunny completed the experience!
