This is a phenomenal place to eat. It is on the pricey side, but I promise that the food is good enough to justify eating here at least once during your visit to Longwood Gardens. You also can get a 10% membership discount as well, so keep that in mind. The decor is fancy, the waitstaff is friendly and helpful, and the kitchen staff is very good at what they do. Every order comes out spot on to my expectations. I rec... View all feedback.
What Marlies Farmer doesn't like about 1906 At Longwood Gardens Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews:
Very disappointing. Waited for 20 minutes for any of numerous wait staff to come to our table until we managed to at least flag down a server to pour us some water. Eventually after a further delay the manager came over, apologized, and took charge of the situation. The food was very good but the service still severely lacking. After more apologies by different staff members, one of them then poured water into my gin... View all feedback.
What an amazing dining experience! The food and service at this restaurant never disappoint. The holiday menu offered creative takes on classic dishes that brought back childhood nostalgia in a fresh and exciting way. Huge thanks to Greg for the warm hospitality, Mindy for the attentive service, and the talented kitchen staff for perfecting every dish. This was truly a fantastic dining experience!
Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion! Our entire meal was delicious. The flower pot dessert is a must try!!
Very good dining experience, but unfortunately only very good. Sat outside on the patio on a hot busy Saturday evening. Very casual feel surrounded by trees. All food was excellently plated, extraordinarily beautiful with flowers. The salmon was perfectly subtlety seasoned. However the food underneath was missing something: zucchini was uninspired and unseasoned on the salmon, the corn wasn't local fresh on the crab salad, the aoli tasted like mayo. Nothing was daring or visionary. The service was just very good as well, Our waiter was food, but not personable and all knowing. Waters sat empty for a while. The people next to us didn't get waters for a while. Food wasn't delivered with precision. My review seems nitpicky, but 1906 is billed as a fine dining establishment. It needs a but of work to live up to that.
Located in the middle of the finest tree collection of Longwood Gardens, and historically linked to crop protection industry of DuPont.
Food was delicious as always. Service wasn't as prompt and getting a alcoholic drink took more time than usual.
