Was Amy S at Magic Kitchen a mag?
Typical, cheap mall food. We went to this mall (if you can even call it that) on a Saturday and it was pretty empty! Only about 4 choices in the food court so this one was the winner for us. The food was mediocre, but hot and did its job of filling us up. View all feedback.
What Gabriel P dislikes about Magic Kitchen:
The food at this restaurant is too expensive for the low quality and lack of freshness. I was disappointed to see that they replaced a favourite dish with something of lower quality. I tried the spicy chicken, but it was served with red peppers that tasted artificial. Additionally, the service from the staff was quite rude. This experience was embarrassing for the restaurant and for those who enjoy Chinese/Thai cuisi... View all feedback.

This is the BEST Chinese food in Metairie/Kenner/New Orleans/West Bank area!!! I’ve tried it all and I have to say they have the best low mein not dry and very flavorful- bourbon chicken! And spicy chicken!!! I have been eating there ten years plus. I asked the woman if she’ll do a restaurant outside of the mall and she said no. I am so sad if they leave the recipes are to die for.
This restaurant was amazing! the workers there were really nice and they composed my shirt that made my day! but eating was better! I have the fried rice with sesame and bourbon chicken with an egg roll. the fried rice was really delicious, and both chickens were really full of taste. the eierrolle was beautiful, although they didn't have many. it was really filled out, although it was quite unhealthy, but I didn't know what I expected from Chinese food. try it if they have the chance!
Its hidden in the mall food court of very few choices, you have cheesesteaks or Chinese food . I always go with the chinese food cause me and my wife like to split the 2 item combo and for chinese food its consistently delicious everytime. Also this place is a bargain for a nice hot meal you get the proportions to line your stomach. And it's close, quiet and always enjoyable. I enjoy it about once a week
OBSSESSED! My absolute favorite place to dine and have a great time!!! The music, food, and service are more than amazing. Bongo’s will NEVER disappoint. Check it out y’all.
While visiting New Orleans for the Essence Festival, my husband and I happened upon Thai's Magic Kitchen within the Esplanade Mall in Kenner, LA. The chefs hit a home run with this one! Everything we had was fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. We had honey garlic chicken, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, lomein, rice, and egg rolls. All of those dishes were winners! I was a bit sad because I couldn't finish it all before leaving for the airport. Also, the value is tremendous as the prices were very reasonable. When visiting the area again, we will be sure to return to Thai's Magic Kitchen for inexpensive, fresh, plentiful, and hot deliciousness! We will post pictures soon!
Nestled in the heart of a quiet mall, this restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences that have left patrons divided. While many rave about its flavorful dishes like bourbon chicken and lo mein, highlighting friendly staff and reasonable prices, others express disappointment over perceived declines in food quality and service. Instances of rudeness from staff have led some diners to swear off returning. Despite the criticisms, loyal customers continue to cherish the establishment, labeling it the best in the Metairie/Kenner/New Orleans area. For those seeking a casual meal, it remains a popular, albeit polarizing, choice.

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!!! I took my daughter to the mall and since she was hungry we stopped at one of the few places still open. The food was typical cheap Chinese; she enjoyed it but the woman working the window was abhorrent! First, I asked if they had any egg rolls since I didn 't see any out. Her response was very sharp NO! OK. I was thirsty so I ordered a large Diet Coke. I was then quickly informed that it was out. I paid cash; $10.57 on a $6.57 bill. She then asked me if I had a dollar. I told her, No and she proceeded to huff and roll her eyes. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FOOD HERE AGAIN! I 'm sure my discontinued patronage will not change anything, but hey no one comes to this mall anyway so it 's just a matter of time before they close, too.

I tried the spicy chicken, but it was served with red peppers that tasted artificial. Additionally, the service from the staff was quite rude. I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The staff was very friendly and even complimented my shirt, which was a nice touch. However, the real highlight was the food. I ordered the fried rice with sesame and bourbon chicken with an egg roll. The fried rice was delicious and both chicken dishes were bursting with flavor. The egg roll was good, although they didn't have many available. The meal was quite filling, although not the healthiest choice, but I wasn't expecting anything less from Chinese cuisine. I highly recommend trying this place if you get the opportunity!
This is the top Chinese restaurant in the Metairie/Kenner/New Orleans/West Bank area!!! I have tried many others, but none compare to their delicious bourbon chicken and spicy chicken. The lo mein is always perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I have been a loyal customer for over a decade. I even asked the owner if they would consider opening a standalone restaurant, but unfortunately they declined. I would be devastated if they ever closed up shop, as their recipes are truly outstanding.
