Now known as the Crazy Moose. Had our fantasy draft here with six, ten four, good buddies. Great Great service. Cori, server, is beyond polite and professional. They have NFL Sunday ticket. Plenty of TVs. View all feedback.
What Alicia H doesn't like about Lakepointe And Grill:
Great entertaining, crowd watching experience for a Friday. Not a dive, but definitely not upper crust . Bartenders know their booze and brews and do it all in a timely fashion. The music is across the board targeting a younger, hipper crowd; read: hop, rap, metal...and it 's LOUD and awesome for a Friday in Kenmore. Had the cheap sliders and fries. Fries were salty, and burger was overcooked, but way better than mos... View all feedback.
Oh god Why am I here?! I can't turn down any type of tavern or sketch bar... This place is surprisingly big and the bartender was friendly but annoying. She took forever and loved flirting with the old men instead of pouring drinks. We didn't stay long, just wanted to check it out. They have pool tables, music, pull tabs, typical selection of booze. I believe they have food, but I am unsure of the hours. Is it worth stopping? Eh, depends on your mission- mostly likely not. Quick drink? yes. Pick up females? no. Decent beer and a game of pool? yes. Impress your date? no. Alcoholic? yes. We won't be back.
My boyfriend and I have been supporting Lakepointe Bar Grill for the past year or so as it is in the neighborhood, has a big open bar with a nice patio and has a great area for playing darts. Unfortunately, we will never be back after last night. Upon entering the establishment, we were quickly greeted and had our order for two beers taken before we even sat down. We then began playing darts. My boyfriend was about 2/3 's of the way through his beer when the server/bartender came to our table and asked if we 'd like another round. I declined as I was less than half way through mine, however my boyfriend accepted. She promptly returned with his beer. We happily continued playing darts and drinking beer. Soon, my glass was empty. Between rounds of darts, my boyfriend attempted to get the server 's attention from behind the bar. Even with waving both hands in the air, he couldn 't seem to attract her attention. Some time later, my boyfriend finished his beer. As we were deep into our game of darts, neither of us took the time to walk up to the bar to request another round. All three of our empty glasses were lined up at the end of the table so that in case we missed making eye contact with her or she missed my boyfriend 's arm waving, she would see that we were ready for another round. All the while, we were watching her chat with people at the bar, wander into the kitchen (for no apparent reason as it was closed and service the two people purchasing pull tabs. She never came back to our table and never looked our way. Finally, my boyfriend approached the bar and asked if we could get another round at our table. Instead of being apologetic for the lack of attention/service from her, she reproached him and told him that he should have come to the bar if we had wanted another round. Odd, as there had been table service for the first three beers we were served. At any rate, my boyfriend ordered another round, continued our dart game and waited. And waited. And watched as she didn 't pour our beer but continued to chat and dole out pull tabs. Clearly, she was blowing us off. Since when was a bar and grills ' first priority pull tabs??? The name Lakepointe Bar Grill implies that they are first and foremost a bar and a grill with any other enterprise following thereafter. By this time, we had had it with her attitude. My boyfriend approached the bar and asked for the bill so we could pay and leave. Her response was Oh, so now you want to leave? Well, yes when you first ignored us, then reprimanded my boyfriend, gave us attitude and purposely did not pour our beers, then yes game over (even though our dart game was not! . When my boyfriend calmly explained why we were displeased and leaving, she made the situation worse by justifying her poor service. When my boyfriend told her that she should have been paying attention to all of the bars ' patrons not just those playing pull tabs, she got even more defensive and responded by 86 'ing him from the bar. Wow great customer service. Never has he, have I, nor have we EVER been asked to leave an establishment. No worries, we weren 't planning on coming back!
Fries were salty, and burger was overcooked, but way better than most bar foods. Onions were freshly grilled on toasted roll. Went down damn good with a brew. Shocking they called 'em sliders . Good call for plenty of food without a drive into the city.
Total drive bar! Gotta love it. $2 ladies well drinks. Now that is what I am talking about! You aren't going to find any fancy martini's and cocktails here! I swear when we were there this last weekend it was just the one gal bartender running the show. She has a memory like a steal trap because she recognized our friends who live up the street and had only been in once or twice. It definitely was far from busy but we just came in to have a couple drinks and shoot some pool. Yeah so what it there are nasty stains on the carpet and you immediately feel the need to go wash your hands after playing the games like Buck Hunt, pool and pin ball? We had fun! Oh and to the couple below who wrote a review and got 86'd out of the place... it s DIVE BAR if you want better service than maybe you should have gone to the Ritz Carlton for some drinks. If you have ever worked in customer and/or food service, you would understand that when you are the only person working the floor and it gets busy, you have to serve your customers. But sounds like you got pretty sauced off the cheap drinks here to get in a [dive] bar fight with the staff and get kicked out for good! Bravo! Well played.
I visited this restaurant on 8/16/14 for a weekend lunch to enjoy a beer, some food, and some alone time. This place was perfect for that. The fish and chips I ordered were fantastic, more than I could finish - even larger than what Ivars serves. They paired perfectly with the two Elysian draft beers I had. The bartender was friendly and attentive, always checking on me and bringing me another beer when needed. The jukebox was playing loud Stevie Ray Vaughn, creating a comfortable atmosphere in this local bar. There was plenty of space and WiFi available, which allowed me to enjoy a beer while getting some work done on my laptop. Although I haven't visited at night, I'm sure the experience would be different. This is a dive bar, but for me, it's a great spot to hang out during the day. The fish and chips were delicious.
