Subway - Kempsey

Very busy on Saturday afternoon after the bakeries close at noon. Small tired old site with competent staff serving a clientele familiar with their range and patiently explaining the system to newbies

This used to be a very clean and tidy restaurant. Today we were surprised and how dirty and untidy the customer dining area was. Disappointed, if there is a next time we will take away.

Subway's always a good option when you're travelling and this one is no exception. Located in the main street, there's some off street car parking available. Staff were friendly, the shop was very clean looking and the food was obviously fresh. And of course the price is good for what you get.

Kempsey Subway is, well, a Subway, so everyone knows what the food is like. However, what can be said about Subway in Smith Street, Kempsey, is that the manager must be careful in staff selection, as most staff are efficient and friendly, and that visible food preparation appears to be of a good standard, so staff appear to be appropriately trained.

Subway in Kempsey has now been a regular meal stop on North Coast trips for some years. Never any queues as you sometimes get at Subway, food is cheap, standardised and reliable - never been crook as a result of eating here - and it provides excellent sustenance for a few more hours on the road. Parking out front never a problem.
