As can be expected, the prices are higher than the grocery stores in Kelowna, but they have a good selection of items! Great location in the village. Friendly staff! View all feedback.
What GeorgeFMarkhamON doesn't like about The Big White Mountain Mart:
The prices at remote ski resorts are usually steep, but the Mountain Mart takes it to another level. Charging $11.73 for a small Haagen Dazs ice cream is outrageous. Additionally, if there is a discrepancy between the posted prices and what the computer says, the computer is always correct. While they do offer a refund, it's best to do your shopping in Kelowna before heading to Big White. View all feedback.
Make sure to plan ahead as this is the only market on the mountain. They have a good variety of basic groceries, a meat market, and decent produce. We were able to find everything we needed, and there is even a liquor store upstairs for wine and other beverages!
This store has an amazing selection of any groceries you may need, but be warned, it is pretty expensive. We were happy we brought mostly everything we needed with us. A great option if you need a few things thought.
I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of products available at the supermarket, and the prices were not much higher than the ones in Kelowna. The friendly service and helpful staff were also a nice touch.
Over the years the Market has grown, and the selection of food has improved. There is almost no need to shop in Kelowna anymore. From a butcher counter to fresh produce, everything you need is right on the hill. The liquor selection is second to none as well.
For a small market, this establishment has most everything a visitor would want or need while visiting Big White. A lady strolled the aisles to direct customers or to answer questions concerning the store’s inventory. The variety of items displayed was impressive. Their price point is rather high but no doubt a person would be inconvenienced if he/she chose to go elsewhere to purchase grocery or beverage items.
