This is a beautiful restaurant located just by the winery tasting room. The seating inside looked very nice with large windows offering a view of the lake and Kelowna in the background. We sat on the patio and enjoyed watching the deer wander through the...rows of grapes. Our food was delicious we had the vegan calamari, the clams, and we shared the lamb shawarma. We couldn’t get through it all so it was perfect for... View all feedback.
What Alessia Hammes doesn't like about Sunset Organic Bistro:
Arrived for our dinner reservation...no host so seated ourselves. Finally got menus and decided on dinner from a 'sharing menu' with very limited protein options. Arctic char was fried on a bed of arugula with way too much French's mustard. Uninspired. Pork belly was grilled...More View all feedback.
My wife had the bouillabaisse that was not bad, but I had the same dish on the road in basil and mint that was far better. I had the special of the chef that should be embarrassed to everyone. the brittles were so dry, I was stealing. from the bouillabaisse of my wife to shed them. not sure what should be special as she prepares the huh. weine are too expensive. we both loved the chocolate cake for dessert.
I have no problem with healthy, organic food. I keep myself healthy partly by my good food choices. I cook in the wise to improve the taste. the bistro should accept the same philosophy. my garnel and muddle were slandered, as well as the squash mac of my wife and cheese. very lazy wall on a very limited lunch menu. there is no apology to calculate exorbitant prices for inferior apologies. lake tai could teach the kitchen many lessons. my proposal is to make this location clear until the management makes extensive changes. because what they are doing is not working.
We stopped for lunch in this restaurant as it was attached to a weingut that produces some very beautiful wee. I think if we had made more wine tasting before eating, it would have been appreciated. my wife and the other man. at the table tried the curry bowl while I dared the vegan mac and cheese. we were all disappointed. both courts had no attempt to coat the aromen. While this could be difficult to do with a mac and cheese, the curry court failed to point too many. the real effort with my mac and cheese was that, while the cook had reached the wonderful feeling that one was in the mouth of a good cheese sauce, it was lacking at all. very blazing! very good service. very good cheesecake! including a beautiful tipp, the cost for my wife and my meal was good over a hundred dollars. you are the judge.
End of my second day in kelowna. was a dreamer place to go when I was a Mater student, and this time, a day before the birthday, I was doing it with my hubby. thanks for daniels service. Everything's fine. it was great.
We did a tasting and tour, which was really good. Then we went to the restaurant for happy hour, 3-5 except Tuesday and Wednesday. They have a selection of wine by the glass for $5. One of them was the Keter. It was regularly $20/...glass, but in happy hour it was only $5! For food, there wasn't a huge selection, but the smashed burger and pizza were both fantastic. I highly recommend getting there to partake in their happy hour. It will make you very happy.
